NJ Engagement Photos - Love Story engagement video in Hoboken NJ

Published : Borrowed & Blue : Rebecca and Tommy Love Story Engagement Video

Shooting Rebecca and Tommy’s engagement session was a joy. They were so nice and so in love that it made it easy to get nice and relaxed engagement photos. But what made their engagement session utterly special was their Love Story Engagement Video. By the time of the wedding, their friends had watched their Video Love Story and had memorized some of the lines.

Today, we feel honored because the fabulous wedding blog, Borrowed and Bleu is featuring their engagement video.

The Palace at Somerset Park Wedding – Rebecca + Tommy – Part 2

This is part two of Rebecca’s and Tommy’s wedding photos at The Palace at Somerset NJ. It rained minutes before Rebecca and Tommy’s wedding ceremony, and I knew she was crushed because she was not going to have the beautiful wedding photos with sunny skies she had envisioned, so I proposed a Day After wedding session, and they happily agreed. One week after the wedding, and once they had settled from their honeymoon, we headed to The Palace at Somerset for their wedding portraits. This time, the weather was on our side, and we had perfect lighting. A big thank you goes out to The Palace at Somerset for allowing us to return and take Rebecca and Tommy’s wedding photos.

I will start with one of my favorite photos of the day. Rebecca looks absolutely stunning!!

The Palace at Somerset New Jersey Wedding – Rebecca and Tommy

If Life gave people medals based on their perseverance, well Life, you owe Tommy a big medal. Tommy had such perseverance, that he asked Rebecca out for three months before she agreed to go out with him. She hesitantly agreed, but he immediately swept her off her feet. They dated for a while, and after a long and romantic walk on the beach, he proposed and she cried. On this beautiful wedding day, Tommy got much more than a medal. He GOT the girl, and what a girl.

Rebecca and Tommy are so in love, and we were thrilled to document their beautiful wedding at The Palace at Somerset Park. It was so refreshing to see them enjoy every single moment of their wedding day.

We started the day at The Palace at Somerset Park in Central New Jersey, where we took pictures of Rebecca and her wonderful group of bridesmaids getting ready. Since we walked in, there was music and laughter. The girls were really having a good time, and some were even dancing. It definitely set the mood for a great wedding day. Since I was shooting solo, I sneaked out a couple of times to take a pictures of the boys being boys. Rebecca and Tommy decided to see each other before the ceremony, in what is known as The First look, and we couldn’t have been more grateful because it gave us much needed time for portraits, which was key since we had one of the largest bridal parties we have photographed.

A big thank you goes out to Kisha and her Pure Ambiance Team for planning and executing a wedding that flowed flawlessly, even when at the very last minute, the outdoor ceremony was moved indoors due to the rain; that’s what a call a Pro, and yes, I’m a spoil now.

In the end, it all worked, and Rebecca and Tommy tied the knot in a beautiful Jewish and Catholic Ceremony inside The Palace Somerset.

Because of time constraints, the ring shoot was actually one of the last shots of the day, and as you can see on the picture to the right, Rebecca’s bouquet still looked perfect.

Ida and Giovanni Engagement Photos in New Brunswick NJ

Ida and Giovanni are one of sweetest couples we’ve met, but then again we consider ourselves extremely lucky because all our clients are awesome. Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, holds a special place in their hearts, and after many years, they returned for a nice and fun engagement photo session to the place that saw their relationship flourish.

Because of their busy lives, they scheduled their engagement photos for July, and who would have guessed that the worst heat wave of the year would hit us that same week. Regardless of how hot it was out there, they enjoyed themselves and had a great time taking their engagement photos.

Photo of the Week – Love – love – love

I was browsing through wedding pictures for a new video gallery that I’m working on, and I stumbled across this photo. I remember this wedding as it was yesterday. Yassmine had this picture hanging from the wall, and I borrowed it for this picture. It is just to proof that I’m very nosy, and that some phrases par with wedding details can sometimes take a whole different meaning: LOVE – LOVE – LOVE.

The new Light Field Camera from Lytro that promises to change the photography world.

I’m anxious to see the new camera that is promising to change the world of photography. Lytro, a start-up company from Silicon Valley, is scheduled to release a new photographic camera later this year, The Light Field camera. This new camera will let you select focus after the photo has been taken. That’s right, there will be enough data stored in each photo that you can choose a different focus later.

The new light field camera will be marketed to the consumer market just like any other point and shoot camera.

Lytro decided to develop and market this camera and will not be licensing this technology to the big camera makers like Canon or Nikon, so don’t expect your new canon 5D Mark III to have this new and awesome feature.

Play around with the photo, and select your favorite focus point.

Hoboken NJ Engagement Photography : Rebecca and Tommy

Last week, Danny and I headed to Hoboken NJ to take some engagement photos and video for a really nice couple. As I got there, and I started talking to Rebecca and Tommy, I found out that Tommy was not thrilled about the idea of taking pictures. He is seriously in love with Rebecca, and he was going to do anything it took to make her happy. Well, I don’t mind a few pictures, but I don’t like those sessions that go for an hour, he said, and I just smiled.

How was I supposed to tell him that our engagement sessions run for about 90 minutes without making him run to the nearest exit. Well, I did what any honest photographer would do, I didn’t tell him. We just took them for a walk in the park and let them do what they do best, love each other.
