Carly and Chris were referred to us by one of our previous couples, Jessie and Joe, which is such a big compliment. We met over coffee, and we were thrilled when they called us back to photograph their weddings at one of our favorite venues, Liberty House in Jersey City, NJ.
The day started at the Hyatt Hotel hotel where they were both getting ready. Right from the start, I knew it was going to be a fun wedding because I don’t remember a time I laughed so much during the getting ready. The whole family was just funny, nice, and united, and I know I say this a lot, but I just love my couples. Carly and Chris had decided to have a First Look right in front of the Hyatt Hotel overlooking NYC, and it was such a wonderful and beautiful moment. It’s always hard for me to balance respecting my clients emotions as Chris’ cried when he saw her for the first time, and documenting such a beautiful and intimate moment for them to look back. The way he saw her, and smiled at her, you can see their love. We then continued to Liberty State Park for their bridal portraits, and lucky for us, it had snowed a few days before, and snow on the grounds, gorgeous sunny day together with the views of NYC was the perfect combination for taking beautiful winter wedding photos.
